Evergreen Innovation Platform (EIP) is revolutionizing the future of smallholder farmers through the transformative power of innovation. We are dedicated to fostering a sustainable global ecosystem that addresses the unique needs of smallholder farmers, promoting inclusive and long-lasting growth.
We identify innovative solutions that improve productivity, resilience, climate adaptation and mitigation that empower smallholder farmers to thrive in a rapidly changing world. By leveraging our local and international partnerships, we validate, cultivate, and optimize technologies and business models, ensuring that solutions are practical, scalable, and sustainable.
EIP was established in 2022 with key partners Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture and the Milken Innovation Center. We have already worked with over 20 companies whose solutions we have implemented at multiple locations throughout India.
Code of Conduct
1.Respect and Inclusion:
Treat all individuals, including farmers, employees, stakeholders, and startup partners, with dignity, respect, and fairness, irrespective of their background, gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.
Foster an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, encourages collaboration, and promotes equal opportunities for all.
2.Transparency and Accountability:
Maintain transparency and detailed records of all business operations, including financial transactions, partnerships, and decision-making processes.
Uphold high standards of accountability by ensuring that all actions and decisions align with the organization's mission, vision, and ethical principles.
Provide gifts, entertainment, or unpaid services when consistent with customary practice in the market, and when not in contravention of any applicable law. Bribery or facilitation payments of any kind are completely against EIP values.
3.Farmer and Startup Empowerment:
Prioritize the empowerment of farmers and startups by involving them in the decision-making process, seeking their input, and respecting their knowledge and expertise.
Provide support, mentorship, and access to relevant information, training, and resources that enable farmers and startups to adopt and benefit from technological innovations.
Positively contribute to the communities and partners we work with.
4.Sustainable Practices:
Promote sustainable agricultural practices that protect the environment, conserve natural resources, and mitigate climate change.
Encourage the use of environmentally friendly technologies, efficient resource management, and responsible waste disposal in collaboration with startups.
5.Data Privacy and Security:
Handle farmer and startup data with the utmost care and respect privacy rights. Obtain explicit consent before collecting, storing, or sharing any personal or sensitive information.
Implement robust security measures to protect farmers and startup data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
6.Collaboration and Partnerships:
Foster collaboration with local communities, NGOs, government agencies, startups, and other stakeholders to leverage collective knowledge, resources, and networks.
Establish partnerships with startups based on shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to the well-being and empowerment of farmers.
Strive to maintain an open and honest company culture internally, where knowledge sharing and open honest communication is encouraged while maintaining respect for each other and working together to realize EIP’s vision to grow a global innovation ecosystem that empowers entrepreneurs offering smallholder farmers solutions which improve their productivity, resilience, climate adaptation and mitigation.

Always maintain the highest standards of fairness, honesty, and integrity towards our partners, our farmers, and our startups.
Engage in fair and ethical marketing and sales practices, providing accurate and transparent information about products, services, and their benefits to farmers and startups.
Avoid misleading or deceptive practices that exploit or misrepresent the needs and capabilities of farmers and startups.
Intellectual Property (IP) is respected and safeguarded, both EIPs IP and knowledge as well as our partners IP.

Emphasize the importance of innovation in driving positive change.
Encourage a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement within the organization and among partners.
9.Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
Operate in full compliance with local, national, and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Stay informed about relevant policies and requirements related to agricultural practices, data privacy, labor rights, and environmental protection.
Honor all of contractual obligations, such obligations can only be made by the CEO.
10.Social Impact and Scalability:
Strive to create a positive and sustainable social impact by improving the livelihoods, productivity, climate resilience and well-being of farmers while supporting the growth and scalability of startups.
Stive to support the mitigation of climate impacts from farms and startups working with EIP, aiming to preserve or even restore the quantity and quality of natural resources.
Regularly monitor and report on key social impact indicators to ensure transparency and accountability.
Reasonably minimize the environmental impact of our operations while actively supporting all of our partners in managing their operations in an environmentally sustainable manner.
